
MENTORING MATTERS at WashU
WashU faculty are welcome to hone their mentoring approach and skills through this immersive, full-day event sponsored by the Office of the Provost, to include a keynote address, panel discussion, networking opportunities, and workshops on five modules designed by the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experience in Research (CIMER). Registrants are able to emphasize interest in mentoring graduate students and postdocs and/or mentoring pre-tenure faculty. Faculty who complete the mentoring summit will receive a level 1 certificate of completion and their names will be listed publicly at mentoring.wustl.edu.

Keynote Address
The summit will commence with an address by Melissa McDaniels, Associate Executive Director and Scientist at CIMER: “Catalyzing ecosystems of inclusive excellence: Leveraging the science of mentorship, evidence-based interventions, national conversations, and local expertise”. The keynote address will be available virtually to those unable to attend the summit (8:30 – 9:15 a.m.).

*Breakfast and lunch will be provided, and an optional reception will immediately follow the summit.

Registration Request
Complete the form below by end of day Monday, October 2 to request participation in the summit, or sign-up to view the keynote address virtually. Those who express interest in the summit will be notified of their status on a rolling basis. Due to high demand, priority will be given to faculty who have not attended CIMER workshops in the past; faculty who have may still register for the virtual keynote address.
